Our Schedule of Services
Daily:
Morning Minyan: 7 AM Monday through Thursday 8:30 AM on legal holidays
Sundays: 10 AM (during the fall and winter)
To request an evening minyan, please contact our minyan coordinators, Iris and Irwin Rothblatt: (201) 339-5714.
Weekly:
Erev Shabbat: 6 PM throughout the year
Shabbat Mornings: 9:15 AM
Shabbat morning services are often followed by a delicious sit-down Kiddush luncheon, lovingly prepared by our Temple Emanu-El volunteers.
Holidays:
Mornings: 9:15 AM
Special Holidays: Erev Purim, Erev Tisha B’Av and Erev Simhat Torah services vary in their starting times from year to year. It is best to check the website or the Shofar Bulletin in advance.
Temple Emanu-El also offers:
- Free babysitting on the High Holydays; however, reservations are required. Please call the office (201) 436-4499 to reserve a spot, so that appropriate arrangements can be made for your child/ren.
- An Adult Learners’ Minyan during Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur services
- Free admittance to all Jews to attend Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur services. We ask only that you let our office know to expect you: (201) 436-4499.
EVENTS
Sponsor Kiddush and/or Holidays Shabbat
All are invited to a Kiddush luncheon following Shabbat services.
Anyone may sponsor a Kiddush to celebrate or commemorate an event.For those interested in sponsoring a Kiddush, kindly contact the Temple office at (201) 436-4499 or Kiddush Chairperson, Renée Bousso at (201) 858-8480
Shabbat Dinners
This year we institute a series of Shabbat dinners followed by late Friday night services: Dinner at 6:30; services at 8 PM. Only participation in the Shabbat meals requires reservations.
