We are affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, the association of Conservative congregations in North America.
Facilities
Social Hall and Kosher Kitchen
Our social hall is used not only for our large cultural and social events, but also by members and non-members who rent it and our kosher kitchen for family milestone events. Temple Emanu-El admits kosher caterers to the kitchen. For information on rentals, please contact our office at (201) 436-4499.
Sanctuary
Temple Emanu-El’s Schnitzer Sanctuary seats over 500 in comfortable, cushioned pews. It is a beautiful, peaceful, 2-story, air-conditioned space, ideal for wedding ceremonies. It is handicapped accessible.
Elevator Access/Handicap Accessible
An outside elevator enables those who need assistance to come to our second floor Sanctuary, two classrooms and offices.
Vestry Room
The Vestry Room located on the first level of the Temple is home to our weekly Shabbat Kiddush, our monthly Board of Trustee Meetings, and all of our parties and social functions.
The Vestry room may be rented at a nominal fee for special events.
Minyan Services
Minyan services are conducted in the first-floor Eisler Chapel.
Gilded Lillie Judaica Shop
Temple Emanu-El is also has the small, but beautiful “Gilded Lillie Judaica Shop,” where holiday and special occasion gifts may be purchased.
